I'm back!

I have been slacking hard core on my blog but i am trying to get better but Facebook has me sucked in. Well lets catch you up… Jan 1 we had a small fire, but all is ok and nothing got damaged but our wall that has the fireplace on it. We got our $8000 tax credit and payed off the truck and some other bills. We have done some updating on our new home; painted the bedroom, put a light in the closet, got a new rustic chandelier in the dining room, trimmed the front tree and a few other things. I got a raise at my new job which is my first raise ever. SO exciting. My car broke down last week and took it to the dealer and it was over $800 to get fixed but had a warranty so i just paid the co-pay, Dev's truck had a flat tire last week and then when he went to got buy just 2 they said he HAD to buy all 4. So he got all new tires last week. $700 later… Uh. Then our snowmobile broke down it is the stater and it is $125 to replace and that sucks big time. We filled our taxes on Saturday so that is nice i might be getting my new camera with it and making $$$ with it this summer doing some photography for some weddings. So happy about that. Well thats about all for now.

I love Fall

It is officially fall when its so cold out you have to burn a fire but last night Devon was lazy and turned on our furnace. Its ok tho our house was still warm. I love our new home and I love my husband!

Tina and Bett came to visit

Tina and Bett came to visit on Wednesday and we all had such a great time seeing them! They don't come up nearly enough. Although we don't go down there either. Wish we had more $ to travel! Well any ways we had great time with them.

New Job!

I quit my job thinking I had a better one and instead it ended up being telemarketing and I quit that place 3 days after I started. I am sorry but i just can't lie and sell crap at the same time. Any who so I was looking for a job for like 3 days and then had three interviews and I ended up getting another screen printing job and but printing shirt and apparel. I love it it is my 4th day here and it is hard and challenging and i love it! It is for Kimmel athletic and is so nice here very laid back environment heck i wore flip floops to work!

Week update

So now last friday but the one before that I quit my job because I found a new one that paid $1 more hourly so started there monday and quit there wednesday…. I hated it and wasn't sure what that place was all about but guess what it was telemarketing and I couldn't do. I am sorry but i can't lie and sell at the same time.

So I have been out job hunting for the last few days, found 3 potential jobs but one is house cleaning and if you know my family, you'd know why i don't want to do that. Now i am down to two. One is a home decor store only open on thursdays and Saturdays which is my favorite store. and the other is a coffee shop. I really want to do that again but the boss is kind of A.D.D so we will see. I don't have a job yet but have got a few gigs to keep $ rolling in so we are ok for this week. I wish Dev just got like a $8.55 raise and then work would be optional for me, but that is now how life works. SO the hunt continues today. The pic is of Devs firewood truck.

Tonight

Tonight we are watching 2 boys and they are so cute however they have never stayed away from home and we are the lucky ones to break them in. The younger one 5 months did ok going to bed but the 3 year old is not taking it well. He cried for a while and then dev now is watching tv with him to get him to fall asleep but so far no luck. They are the first kids to stay the night at our new home. So fun.

Update!!!

Ok so we have been so buzzy doing little things but it all adds up! I have been slacking on my blog and sorry about that. Life is great we got married August 14th in CDA and we are having a wedding reception in our new home on November 6th. A fall themed party sounds like so much fun, getting both familys together for the first time and having great food should be great. So excited. We have done so much the past few months, finishing the house a little more each day, working a lot to make the payment and just enjoying life.

We also have been visiting a lot of friends this weekend we are going to see what it is like to have 2 boys. We are watching them for a friend one (Ryan) is 3 and the other (Matthew) is 5 months so this should be so fun. We LOVE kids and so we are both looking forward to watching them. We had a wonderful birthday season (September is our family's birthday month) and now on to planning a reception and then the holidays. So excited to have them in our new home. We can't wait. Well thats about it for now!

THE projects…..

OH how the projects never end. But they are entertaining while the time goes by. So far in our new house we have: remodeled the bathroom, painted the basement stair case, did some major landscaping and so much more. It feels so good to know that anything you do, you do it for your own house not for some landlord. Right! Well anyway we are loving our new house and can't wait to show it off. P.s We are having a civil ceremony on Aug 14th and we are getting married but don'w worry we are having a nice reception new summer to give people notice. But we are pretty much already married so why wait! Keep on loving.

YEAH

So we officially are home owners and will have keys in hand tonight at 4:45!!!!!! We are both so excited and want to give back to the amazing people that helped us through the rough times and those who were there when the water was deep. SO many people tho where do I start? : )

New!

I Got a new hair cut by one of Danielle's friends Casey! I love it. I got like 5 inches cut off. It looks cute!

Life's hardest moments.

So Devon and I have looked for a house for a LONG time since January. Let me tell you it has taken its tole. This has been the hardest thing we have ever endured. Now towards the end of things, we have both learned so many important things that we would have never know in life without this experience. What a journey, we have gone through 6 banks turning us down for: job history, credit scores, current loans, and of corse $$$! But we found a broker and she is amazing, she has bent of backwards for us, she said that she was adopting us. In the beginning we were referred to a realtor and she to is great too. We have met some really nice people along our 6 month journey, and honestly they were our inspiration and they kept us moving on. Thanks to them we are where we are now. It has been a roller coaster from day one, finding your "dream house" and loosing your dream house, finding a better home for the future and almost loosing hope and giving up. Requesting help from friends and then all the sudden things start crumbling around you and all you can think of is "why did I drag these people into this with me" but then, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and you think "wow, it says a lot when someone is willing to risk their ass for you" and you feel good that you are including them in your adventure. We love it we hate it and we are so in love. Love is our hand to hold and our purpose for waking in the morning! Never give up on what your dream is even if there seems to be no way, if there is a will the IS a way!

B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l weekend!

Devon and I had a great weekend went to lunch with my mom and the Mustard Seed on Saturday then to Zag graduation party for one of my close friends, came home watched some shows. Went to Breakfast on Sunday then to Costco, then walmart, and home again. Went for a long walk then went 4x4ing came home made Shrimp on the Barbie and rested. The sunset was just amazing so we decided to go kayaking and took Kesha (like always) and by the end of the weekend we just did a ton of things! I love those weekends, where you can just do what you want when you want. I love my Dev and have the best days with him.

Windy day but went Kayaking anyway

kesha and I hit up Eloika Lake today. It was fun but kind crazy the waves were kinda big. We paddled for about 1 mile going with the wind and then what goes down steam must come back up so we had to go against the wind on our way home. Paddled so hadr I have massive blisters but I am not complaining because I love my hobby!

FAN LAKE!!

Kesha and I went Kayaking on Fan lake its a small (5 horse power or less) kind of lake, tucked away in the mts. We love this lake and have had some pretty fond memories made there. Not to many people know where this is at. We had a blast we were the only 2 on the lake what a peaceful adventure.

Devon and I watched the kids this weekend and went to a birthday up at Mitchems barn, cute place. Had fun visiting his family and playing with the kids. Tayla is about to hit her 2's.... you know what that means. Independent baby! No stopping her. LOL

Easter 2010

Oh man what an Easter.... Ok so funny story.... I was holding Tayla our niece and was also eating and visiting at The Olive Garden when all of the sudden she grabs the wall behind me, no big deal what I didn't know was that there was a fire alarm and that she had pulled it!!!!!!! Well needless to say the downtown fire dept. shows up and when we were leaving Bryce was like "cool look at all the fire men." Whoops My bad LOL

Its Finally Friday but what an eventful week.

Thank god its the weekend. We got so much stuff done and yet nothing seems like it. Oh well maybe we will work on it tomorrow..... like packing! : )
